Rachel discovered she had a very natural talent for singing at an early age . After studying jazz vocals at Morley College she went on to train with the renowned vocalists Anita Wardell , Sheila Jordan and the Jazz educator , Claude Alexander.

Rachel has been performing at weddings ,corporate events and private functions for many years now . Prestigious venues include The Dorchester , Claridges , The Grove Hotel , The London Hilton , The Hampton Court Flower Show , The Vortex and Floridita .

Rachel possesses a truly natural , beautiful voice ( quote Sheila Jordan ) with a three and a half octave vocal range which enables her to sing effortlessly in many styles such as Jazz , Blues , Funk , Soul and Contemporary .

Rufai has been delighting audiences with his melodic alto sax playing for over twenty years . He is largely self-taught and has played countless gigs and jam sessions across London and the South East . Although Jazz has become his first love he is more than happy and capable of playing in many different styles including Funk , Blues and Contemporary .

He has many influences including pianists , vocalists and guitar players as well as exponents of his own instrument…examples are Bill Evans , Ella Fitzgerald , Martin Taylor , Cannonball Adderly and Art Pepper .
Rufai is a very expressive , melodic altoist and these qualities come to the fore especially when playing ballads .

Pete has played countless gigs since a young age covering a wide of styles from Jazz , Funk , Blues , Acoustic , Reggae , through to Rock and Motown . He attended the celebrated City of Leeds College of Music and graduated with a Jazz and Contemporary Music Degree in 1994 .

Since moving back to London in 1995 Pete has been working consistently in duos , trios , quartets and larger ensembles ( including several cruise ship gigs sailing around the Mediterranean and Norway ) . He is also a qualified guitar teacher and has been teaching in Primary and Secondary schools throughout Surrey for the past ten years .

Pete specialises in playing groove based guitar which is the perfect foundation for Rachel’s beautiful vocals and Rufai’s lyrical alto sax playing .
