Lance Rose has been playing double bass for 8 years and has been gigging regularly on the London jazz circuit for the last 6 years. He learnt his craft at many jazz workshops including the well known Euan Stewart workshop. He also received valuable guidance from his dad Bammi Rose who is part of Jools Holland’s Big Band.

Lance has been influenced immensely by Reggae and became interested in jazz via Ska jazz covers which led to other influences including Thelonious Monk, Miles Davis, Charles Mingus, Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers and Hard Bop music.
